My Preseason Top 25 Poll – 2014
Posted: August 25, 2014 I now present the definitive Top 25 preseason poll. I polled all one of me, tabulated the results, and now present my top 25 poll. This poll is based on who I think are the better teams. In my opinion, a higher ranked team would beat a lower...Week 11 Recap
Posted: November 12, 2013 Oklahoma at Baylor – The Baylor offense came to play as we all expected they would. What was surprising was the Baylor defense. The Sooners struggled to get things going and were never able to find their offensive rhythm being held to 237...Week 10 Recap
Posted: November 6, 2013 USC at Oregon State – The Trojans continue to impress since the firing of Lane Kiffin winning three of four games. USC is playing like I expected them to when I predicted an 8-1 conference record and winning the Pac12 South. I guess I did not...Week 10 Preview
Posted: October 31, 2013 USC at Oregon State – A rare Friday night match up of not horrible teams. This game should be entertaining and fun to watch. There is nothing of immediate importance in this game but neither team is out of the race in their respective...Week 8 Recap
Posted: October 22, 2013 Wow what a week. Six of the top 12 teams go down, with three losing to unranked teams. Things in the SEC looked upside down with Tennessee, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Auburn, and Ole Miss winning while Florida, Texas A&M, Georgia, South...Week 8 Preview
Posted: October 17, 2013 Central Florida at Louisville – Last chance for Louisville to lose and they are 12.5 point favorites. Gotta love the Cards schedule. Al will be pulling hard for his Knights but put the Cards down for undefeated and not a top 10 team in my...Week 6 Recap
Posted: October 8, 2013 I did not have the opportunity to watch any games prior to 8pm as CollegeFootballQuest was in Syracuse this weekend and I was accompanied by my wife and kids. So, some of this recap is based on heresay and highlights. Texas @ Iowa State –...Week 6 Preview
Posted: October 2, 2013 UCLA at Utah – This game should have some points. These are two explosive offenses both scoring over 40 ppg and UCLA is over 50 ppg. UCLA looks to get off to a 4-0 start, while the Utes are 3-1 themselves. This could be whoever had the ball...Week 1 Recap
. Posted: September 3, 2013 North Carolina at South Carolina – I think everybody got what they expected in this game, at least on a team level. SC was never in jeopardy of losing, but did not quite dominate. The interesting note on this game was the reaction to the...College Football – Preseason Predictions
Posted: August 2, 2013 For the record, I have had the highest “best bet” percentage over the previous 3 seasons in a “fairly legal” college football pool that’s been running for many years. The pool really doesn’t exist though,...Is this the year Clemson lives up to its hype? And other Week 1 musings
Posted: July 23, 2013 With NFL training camps opening this past weekend, I am getting really antsy for football season. The first college games kick off on Thursday, August 29 and I have already looked at the schedule. During the season, I try not to get too far ahead...Game 6: Florida State Seminoles @ Boston College Eagles
First, field level end zone seats do not allow you to see an awful lot. Second, if we are coming to your city, it will rain…a lot. It rained all morning. Fortunately, it stopped for most of the game except for a five minute span where it poured.
Game 4: Florida State Seminoles @ Maryland Terrapins
There will probably not be too many road trips given our base in New York, but this game was the first road trip of the quest. This game being on ESPN at 7:45pm allowed us to leave Saturday morning for the 250 mile trek to College Park, Maryland.
