Ball State at Northern Illinois – The 9-1 Cardinals take on the 9-0 Huskies. 15th ranked offense versus 8th ranked offense, by points scored. Both teams are undefeated in the MAC. The MAC is certainly giving us a game to watch this week. Can we get to 100 points?

Georgia Tech at Clemson – The Yellow Jackets bring the triple option into Death Valley. The Tigers have rebounded nicely from the loss to FSU winning their last two games by a combined score of 99-37. There is no chance of the Tigers catching the Noles to win the Atlantic Division so the Tigers are seeking a BCS at large bid. The Yellow Jackets are one of four teams with 2 losses in the Coastal division. This game is critical if the Yellow Jackets want a piece of the title and the participation trophy that goes along with it. Good luck with that.

Washington at UCLA – I expect this to be a tight hard fought game with a Friday night prime time slot. UCLA trails the Sun Devils in the Pac12 South by one game and this is a must win for the Bruins. UCLA off its back to back losses to Stanford and Oregon have won two straight and look to keep that streak going. The Huskies have lost to the same two teams plus Arizona State but have won their last two 100-24. This should be entertaining.

Georgia at Auburn – The Bulldogs invade Jordan-Hare and the surprising Auburn Tigers. After a winless SEC campaign last year, the Tigers are 5-1 in the SEC. A win against the Bulldogs sets up a winner takes all Iron Bowl on Nov 30 against the Tide. Tiger fans are begging for the Tide to come in #1 to knock them out of the BCS title game and even robbing them of a trip to the SEC Championship game. But it will not be easy. The Dogs are banged up, but may get some bodies back this week and even still will pose a challenge for the Tigers.

Miami at Duke – Do not look now, but the Canes and Blue Devils enter this game with identical 7-2 records, both 3-2 in ACC play. Miami has lost two straight. Duke has won five straight. The Canes lost to Virginia Tech last week, a team Duke has beaten. But the Canes have won all eight games in this series since joining the ACC. Vegas gives the Blue Devils a very good shot at this game as Miami is only a 3.5 point favorite.

Michigan State at Nebraska – Are you ready for this nugget, In the seven games these teams have played, the Spartans have never beaten the Huskers. Win this game and the Spartans are virtually assured a Big10 division title. The Spartans bring in the #3 defense yielding a paltry 11.6 points per game. In the last three games, Sparty has held its opponents under 7 points. The Huskers come in 7-2, 4-1 in Big10 play. A Nebraska win in this game puts them atop the Legends division. Both teams need an want this game. Neither side better say “they wanted in more” afterwards.

Oklahoma State at Texas – Both teams control their fate in the Big 12. If either teams wins out, they are the Big 12 winners. Given the schedule of each, this is a tall order for both, especially with Texas nursing some very significant injuries. The Cowboys have won five straight while the Longhorns are on a six game winning streak. Something has to give.
