As we turn the calendar to August and teams begin practices in anticipation of kickoff in a few short weeks, I will populate the internet with yet another preseason prediction.

There will two main differences in my predictions versus the others.

First, I promise that there will be a post in December to compare reality to my predictions. This will serve to utterly embarrass me as I am sure of only one thing, my picks will be horribly wrong and a few will be wrong in spectacular fashion.

Second, I will make my predictions on a conference by conference basis and predict who I think will win each conference. I will limit my predictions to the major conferences because although I watch a ton of football (just ask my wife), I do not claim to have in depth knowledge of the Sun Belt Conference. I will stick with what I know well or at least what I think I know well.
