COLLEGE FOOTBALL QUEST TO VISIT INDIANA UNIVERSITY

Part of Two College Football Fans Mission to See a Game at Every College Football Stadium

64 Down – 70 Remain

New York, NY – College Football Quest (CFQ) has announced that it will be visiting Indiana University for the game against the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday, September 28, 2024.  “Indiana is off to an incredible start in 2024 and is scoring at a rapid pace. I am sure the team was delighted to take down UCLA in their first BigTen game.” Jarrett states.  Al adds,  “Maryland has looked very solid as well.”  Al and Jarret expect both to win this upcoming weekend which should set up a 4-0 Indiana versus a 3-1 Maryland.  But Jarrett is quick to add that anything can happen as we have seen first hand.  Al jumps in that he is very excited to see Bloomington which is always rated very high as a college town.

CFQ has completed 64 out of 134 trips to current FBS schools. Indiana will be the first trip of 2024, with additional trips scheduled for Middle Tennessee State, Kentucky, Ohio, and Arizona State.  Over the years, they’ve had an opportunity to see a lot of exciting games. In the first year of their quest, at a game in DeKalb, Illinois, between the Central Michigan Chippewa’s and the Northern Illinois Huskies, they watched as Northern Illinois battled back from a twenty-four point deficit to force overtime, only to throw an interception and lose. “Exciting games like that keep us going on the Quest, regardless of school size or ranking,” Jarrett says. Al adds, “They are not all great games or in good weather as we have sat in a typhoon in Oregon.”  Both were also in attendance in 2015 at Georgia Tech when the Yellow Jackets blocked a field goal on the last play of the game to upset an undefeated and top 10 Florida State team.

The experiences are not limited to just the games.  Jarrett and Al expect to fully tour the campus, stadium, and facilities, documenting as they go on their website, www.collegefootballquest.com. The Quest has given them an opportunity to see a lot of things in America’s college towns they might have otherwise missed. They cite touring West Point, seeing a hockey game at Miami of Ohio, and tailgating with Hawkeye fans in Iowa City as just some of the many highlights of their journey thus far.

Both Al Botta and Jarrett Singer are members of the Football Writers Association of America.

About College Football Quest

Since 2008, Jarrett Singer and Al Botta have been on a quest to see a college football game in every home FBS stadium.   The seeds of CFQ were planted when Jarrett Singer was attending the University of Florida where he enrolled in a course called Coaching Football.  CFQ has evolved into more than just a “check the stadium off a list” event. CFQ strives to obtain the full experience at each location, trying to spend a full few days at each venue as opposed to a quick in and out to just see the game. The game day experience is always the highlight, but CFQ wants to experience tours of the campus, visiting local eateries and shops, tourist attractions, networking with fans, and other local events.  CFQ has received national attention in 2015, being profiled in USA today.  Their website www.collegefootballquest.com keeps fans updated on their progress.
