I now present the definitive Top 25 poll. Each week I will poll myself, tabulate the results, and then present them.

The number in () is last week’s ranking.

1. Alabama 10-1 (1)
2. Oregon 10-1 (2)
3. Florida State 11-0 (3)
4. Mississippi State 10-1 (4)
5. Baylor 9-1 (6)
6. TCU 9-1 (5)
7. Ohio State 10-1 (8)
8. Georgia 9-2 (9)
9. Michigan State 9-2 (10)
10. Wisconsin 9-2 (11)
11. UCLA 9-2 (13)
12. Kansas State 8-2 (12)
13. Arizona 9-2 (14)
14. Arizona State 9-2 (15)
15. Auburn 8-3 (16)
16. Missouri 9-2 (17)
17. Georgia Tech 9-2 (19)
18. Mississippi 8-3 (7)
19. Oklahoma 8-3 (21)
20. Minnesota 8-3 (24)
21. Louisville 8-3 (NR)
22. Utah 7-4 (18)
23. Nebraska 8-3 (20)
24. LSU 7-4 (25)
25. Clemson 8-3 (NR)

Dropped: Southern California (22), Duke (23)

As a reminder, this poll is based on who I think is the better team. In my opinion, a higher ranked team would beat a lower ranked team on a neutral field. It is not based on how they will finish the year or what the final record of each team will be.

Note: There may be significant fluctuation to my rankings as I watch teams play, as my opinion of their ability to beat teams above and below them on a neutral field may change. I will not be simply sliding teams up and down based on if they win or lose, but rather reevaluating my opinion each week. I believe this is how a poll should be done.
