I now present the definitive Top 25 poll. Each week I will poll myself, tabulate the results, and then present them.

The number in () is last week’s ranking.

1. Alabama 9-1 (2)
2. Oregon 9-1 (3)
3. Florida State 10-0 (4)
4. Mississippi State 9-1 (1)
5. TCU 9-1 (5)
6. Baylor 8-1 (6)
7. Mississippi 8-2 (9)
8. Ohio State 9-1 (11)
9. Georgia 8-2 (13)
10. Michigan State 8-2 (14)
11. Wisconsin 8-2 (21)
12. Kansas State 7-2 (15)
13. UCLA 8-2 (16)
14. Arizona 8-2 (20)
15. Arizona State 8-2 (7)
16. Auburn 7-3 (8)
17. Missouri 8-2 (22)
18. Utah 7-3 (23)
19. Georgia Tech 9-2 (NR)
20. Nebraska 8-2 (10)
21. Oklahoma 7-3 (24)
22. Southern California 7-3 (NR)
23. Duke 8-2 (19)
24. Minnesota 7-3 (25)
25. LSU 7-4 (12)

Dropped: Clemson (17), Notre Dame (18)

As a reminder, this poll is based on who I think is the better team. In my opinion, a higher ranked team would beat a lower ranked team on a neutral field. It is not based on how they will finish the year or what the final record of each team will be.

Note: There may be significant fluctuation to my rankings as I watch teams play, as my opinion of their ability to beat teams above and below them on a neutral field may change. I will not be simply sliding teams up and down based on if they win or lose, but rather reevaluating my opinion each week. I believe this is how a poll should be done.
