I now present the definitive Top 25 poll. Each week I will poll myself, tabulate the results, and then present them.

The number in () is last week’s ranking.

1. Mississippi State 8-0 (1)
2. Florida State 8-0 (2)
3. Auburn 7-1 (3)
4. Michigan State 7-1 (4)
5. Alabama 7-1 (5)
6. Oregon 8-1 (6)
7. TCU 7-1 (8)
8. Kansas State 7-1 (11)
9. Baylor 7-1 (12)
10. Notre Dame 7-1 (10)
11. Arizona State 7-1 (15)
12. Mississippi 7-2 (9)
13. Nebraska 8-1 (13)
14. Ohio State 7-1 (14)
15. LSU 7-2 (17)
16. Georgia 6-2 (7)
17. Oklahoma 6-2 (18)
18. West Virginia 6-3 (19)
19. UCLA 7-2 (23)
20. Clemson 6-2 (22)
21. Duke 7-1 (24)
22. Arizona 6-2 (16)
23. Utah 6-2 (21)
24. Wisconsin 6-2 (NR)
25. Missouri 7-2 (NR)

Dropped: East Carolina (20), Louisville (25)

As a reminder, this poll is based on who I think is the better team. In my opinion, a higher ranked team would beat a lower ranked team on a neutral field. It is not based on how they will finish the year or what the final record of each team will be.

Note: There may be significant fluctuation to my rankings as I watch teams play, as my opinion of their ability to beat teams above and below them on a neutral field may change. I will not be simply sliding teams up and down based on if they win or lose, but rather reevaluating my opinion each week. I believe this is how a poll should be done.
