I now present the definitive Top 25 poll. Each week I will poll myself, tabulate the results, and then present them.

The number in () is last week’s ranking.

1. Oregon 8-0 (1)
2. Alabama 8-0 (2)
3. Florida State 7-0 (3)
4. Stanford 7-1 (4)
5. Baylor 7-0 (5)
6. Ohio State 8-0 (8)
7. Clemson 7-1 (9)
8. LSU 7-2 (10)
9. Texas A&M 6-2 (11)
10. Oklahoma 7-1 (16)
11. Missouri 7-1 (7)
12. Miami 7-0 (12)
13. Auburn 7-1 (13)
14. Wisconsin 5-2 (15)
15. Texas Tech 7-1 (14)
16. Oklahoma State 6-1 (18)
17. UCLA 5-2 (8)
18. South Carolina 6-2 (19)
19. Central Florida 6-1 (20)
20. Louisville 7-1 (22)
21. Northern Illinois 8-0 (23)
22. Michigan 6-1 (24)
23. Fresno State 7-0 (25)
24. Michigan State 7-1 (NR)
25. Oregon State 6-2 (NR)

Dropped: Nebraska (17), Virginia Tech (21)

As a reminder, this poll is based on who I think is the better team. In my opinion, a higher ranked team would beat a lower ranked team on a neutral field. It is not based on how they will finish the year or what the final record of each team will be.

Note: There may be significant fluctuation to my rankings as I watch teams play, as my opinion of their ability to beat teams above and below them on a neutral field may change. I will not be simply sliding teams up and down based on if they win or lose, but rather reevaluating my opinion each week. I believe this is how a poll should be done.
